Damon Wayans

What do you all think of Damon Wayans.

Today on Comedy Central, they showed one of his stand ups, "The Last Stand" and it was very funny being 15 years old. He was great on In Living Color and some of his movies like Major Payne. I think he is very underated.

LKizzle,

Daman Wayan is so not underated. He gets all that he has worked for. Nothing more, Nothing less.

Vee,

Very well put. I take it he's not one of yours?

He has talent and has used it well, but where would he be without his big brudda?

(If you want to talk about underrated, just look at Kim...)

Didn't Damon receive "main stream" success before the rest of his family, he was a cast member on Saturday Night Live in either '85 or '86? The first time I saw him do his "Mo' Money" character was during a SNL news sketch.
I was watching the special on Comedy Central as well. It's been a long time since I saw it. I forgot how well he committed to his jokes and he has great command of the stage. Another one of those guys, I wish kept doing comedy or did it more often.
Completely off topic... I miss Robin Harris.
Now that Johnnie's gone, I guess I should start being nice to the cops.

His show is getting alot of praise. Updated formula of Cosby Show. Take material from you're family experiences.

Damon is funny as hell, stand up or movies..love Last Boy Scout..when I saw Dave Chappell in Fresno last summer, he told a story about seeing Damon Wayons at the Improv once, and the crowd kept telling him to do Homie the Clown, finally he got sick of the crowd interupting and asking for homie so he asked the crowd "do you want Homie the clown?!" the Crowd yell backed "Yes".. So he farted into the mic said "Homie don't play that" and walked off of stage

Murphdogg,
How classic is that, I would buy that on bootleg just to say I have it, "Homie don't play that"!
The Chappelle show, was that one of the many the crowd was begging for "I'm Rick James, bitch"?
Maybe I'm different, when I go see someone live that I see on TV, I feel really cheated when they do their tv bits. If you want that save 35 bucks and watch the re-runs.

robfharris,

You know people are never satisfied. In that same crowd, if he had come out andjust ran thru bits from [/i]In Living Color[/i] someone in the back would have yelled "HEY... HOW 'BOUT WRITIN' SOME NEW SHIT!!!"

JTF,
True.
That's exactly why they don't let me into Gallagher shows anymore.

robfharris,

I thought it was because of your refusal to wear clothing.
