Richard what was it like working with Jackie Gleason? You were funny as hell with him.

Carolina Rider,

Richard tells a hilarious anecdote about hanging out with Gleason on the set of "The Toy" in his autobiography, "Pryor Convictions." Jackie asked Richard to score some pot for him. When Richard indiscreetly handed Jackie the pot, Gleason gave the pot back to Pryor in an inconspicuous manner, and told Richard with a wink, "That's what's called 'the switch.'" As I recall, Jackie and Richard then smoked the shit together and exchanged dope stories. I'd have LOVED to be a proverbial fly on the wall for that.

good story....I got to read the book now.......when I get some funds..Gleason was funny.....he was uh...a uh...heavyweight....

That Old Hippie Chick,
I was on this link of Mosconi the greatest pool player that ever was,.....and some doorman hustler was telling a story of when Mosconi first met Gleason and Sinatra set him up....an one night shut Gleason up....it was hilarious

Gleason had a reputation as an egotist, all about him and nothing but him, but the public, funny as hell. Only Richard knows about smoking blunts with Jackie, not so certain I would want to be suffering the munchies with the Great One in the room.

well, I would, I think that when it came down for the time to munch, then we would munch big time.....something good I know....I might have to get mine in one sitting an go to a corner an watch what I ate.....but at least I would eat..
