Watching the news from this side of the big pond, I always wonder if Bush really is in charge or any American president before him. Everytime I see him on TV I'm just reminded of what happened when Truman was in power and Clement Atlee was in power over here, apparently an aid went to Truman and got him to sign a document which ended the lease lend agreement with the UK right at the end of WW2, then we had a minister over here who at the time got Atlee to agree to take a loan out with Truman which we are still paying for to this very day! It just makes you wonder who actually is in power, is it the politicians or people behind the scenes with the politicians merely puppets?Please don't take what I've just said as Anti Americanism it isn't meant that way.

Don't get me wrong, I have loads of American friends and one of me cousins is married to an American man and lives in the US.
I actually visited your country and had a fantastic time, the people I met were so friendly and were what the vacation for me cos it was genuine.
One person a friend of my cousins, even drove me about 60 miles away to JFK airport, now that's what I call cool epsecially as she'd only known me for a week!
I was just making the point that I don't think our politicians both sides of the Atlantic are really the ones in power.

I just watched a very frightening piece about CHina---how strong as a nation they are---how they are overtaking us---how they are trying to buy all our big companies; Medical research, they are ahead.We are in hock to them and the Japaneese...and Bush and this government is turning us into a third world country right befor our eyes.
