It is April 1, aka "April Fool's Day"

It just hit me, there was one thing that I heard 20 years ago on April 1, 1984 that I wished was a joke, but sadly was the truth. Marvin Gaye was dead. Damn. It's been 20 years??? God bless Marvin.

It was a gun that Marvin had bought him a short time before and he shot him in the back. Damn coke.

I'm not saying I'm an angel, but the heaviest I ever did was smoke a joint (other than the morphine drip in the hospital!)

Marvin was awesome. Timeless. He was to Motown and R&B what Richard was/is to comedy.

I've heard all kinds of stories into what actually went on that day when his dad shot and killed him. Very sad indeed, any way you look at it.

Incidents like that are when you really start to ask yourself "What's Going On".
