Speaking of Comedy Festivals, Houston's Funniest Person Contest Prelims is tonight. I have a lot of friends competing, so I'll be there to support them. Though, I can't see how anyone can top Danny Rios from last week. I was going to perform, but I thought I'd be compassionate and not enter this year. What's the best part about winning a contest? Is it the "prize" or the connections? My bud Lil' Brough who won last year says it's the networking opportunities. Supposedly, you meet people who can open doors for you. So maybe I've been looking at this comedy contest thing all wrong.....any thoughts?
