i saw something on tv some time ago where Robin admitted having other comics accuse him of stealing. he says it's a totally unconscious thing when it happens, that sometimes he doesn't even remember if a bit was originally his or not. if you want to talk about a real material thief, there's Jackie Martling. i don't think that guy has one original piece in his whole act!

I've heard of comics not getting on the stage when Robin is in the club. As a matter of fact before Joe Rogan ever said anything publically I had heard this from @ LEAST 10 different sources.
As for "improv skill" he's great @ making it all seem fresh and off the top of his head, but as for someone that's done improv well nothing is fresh, it's all worked over and over again until you train your mind to just listen.
The other thing is Robin is likeable and very watchable onstage.

i agree with that. i study improv comedy... and robin isnt improv. thats just it... its a collection of fast scatter brained commentss and funny voices. in one of my books... i read that he is more rehearsed than most. *shrug*
improv is pretty cool stuff. i study it witha passion at the groundlings theatre in hollywood. in fact... i have class tonight! =P
