I found a edited copy of Huck Finn at a thrift store and got it for my son, the offensive words have been removed but the story still describes the times and events well, although I don't agree with censorship in any form I think this is a good version for the kids to start with...he's learning the history, importance of loyalty to friends and making your own choices regarding right and wrong then sticking with them regardless of what others say...he can read the unedited version later.
