Me neither. Outkast has been around for a while though, since like '94. A friend put me onto them around '96. They've done a lot of good stuff, and have pushed their genre to new levels. very experimental. Andre3000 is the more creative half. They wouldn't be who they are w/o him.

I know howard stern has talked about it and I think it was on ET or one of those shit shows on E!, so, to the best of my knowledge it's true.
I couldn't believe it either at first.
and I really do think 3000 might do a good job.
