Silly, man!
I just read a review cbreez posted on the Live film being rereleased on DVD, I guess this may kinda answer my question. I hope it happens with the other films also. Is that just available in the UK now or is it coming out at the same time in the states too?

Car Wash also got an awful DVD treatment. There are two versions, full screen and wide screen. But there are no specail features or deleted scenes. THe original tv version completely cut antonio fargus's character and to fill the time they inserted a bunch of deleted scenes with danny devito as the owner of the business next door.
