Inkblot,
Don't get me wrong I argee with what you are saying from an artistic standpoint so I might come off as hypocritical, but I think when someone is writing for someone else they have to know that the bit works somehow. When I'm doing my own thing I can do what the fuck ever. It's a very fine line to walk but I think this is a good instance were it's cool to get feed back.
In the end you can't impress everybody. But you might as well impress that motherfucker trying to pay your ass! ;p

Mister Tee what do you think?

MisterTee,

Hey man - 10/10 for hanging your balls out there.

Personally I quite liked it although I thought it could do with a stronger pay off.

inkblot & bingolong,
Yeah, I posted the sketch here because I wanted to make sure I wasn't so far out that noone undertood where I was coming from with it, because that wasn't my intention with the sketch. After posting it, now I know that most people understood what the sketch was about. The other thing that was good about it was that two people pointed out the same thing that they'd like to see which I found very interesting and someone pointed out something that I totally forgot to put in the sketch and intended to put in the sketch from the beginning. Because someone else gave me the perspective from their eyes I was able to correct that "hole".

On the otherside, inkblot's point, someone did write "it sucks" as if the sketch was a lost cause. But that didn't deter me from wanting to improve on the material. So there is a fine line: No, you shouldn't be dissuaded by people who don't understand the work, but you also you don't have to go out there raw dog, without the work being proofread by someone else, especially if you're a writer pitching material. However, if you're a comedian testing new material AND doing stuff that is YOU then yeah, you definitely shouldn't worry about criticism (jealously) of others.

But I aint a kid and I know constructive criticism from "hating".

Gareth,

I left the stash, yes that stupid looking pussy-trim stash stuck to Hitler's lip, out of my rant on purpose out of respect for Richard so as to not bring back any bad memories for him of his care-giver shearing his full manly-mug-fuzz off.

bingolong,

I get what you're saying man... You've got good points and, like I said, I'm probably not putting my view(s) on this into the right context or wording yet. A few more posts on the subject as time goes by and I just may hit my stride with it and make better sense of it all.

Not even my material is raw and straight off-the-hook, that's not what I'm saying to anyone and I do have folks who have comments or offer opinions and such on my work, so is life. Have the world give your work a once-or-twice-over, no matter what kind of a performer you are, just don't take too much stock in it. Did I word it better there? Maybe I should just keep this little gem that I can't seem to explain to myself and shut the ole' hole...

Well, whatever happens lets all just keeping pushing the machine along man!
