RP opened my eyes
i was maybe 9 years old when i brought the "that nigger's crazy" LP home from the public library (!) my old man -- a disciplinarian, but with a sense of humor -- smiled and listened with me. i didn't get a lot of the jokes, but damned if i didn't learn some new words. i've been a fan ever since. last nite i watched the "mudbone" bit on the RP Show DVD set with tears in my eyes, both from laughter and in grateful appreciation for Richard. Richard Pryor's comedy is something that has made bad times a hell of a lot better.
