Richard---I recently saw Wattstax on PBS for the first time and was blown away. You were right on, Richard...right on. I'm honored to share the same birthday as you (though I was born in 1969 when you were already on your way to fame). Words come out of your mouth that I can only think...for that I am grateful. You are a living legend and wise beyond belief. Thank you for sharing your talents with the world! Thank you! XOXO

I purchased Wattstax recently and I just sat there mesmerized by Richard's performance. I was only 7 when Wattstax came out in 1973 so I didnt understand any of the material. Seeing it now as an adult is incredible. Its one of the greatest performances I've ever see. Since Richard had an all black audience he didnt hold anything back. Even though the music acts were great, Richard is the greatest thing in the movie
