Richard Pryor. There are few people who don't know you, and those who were too young will never forget you. Rich you made me laugh, you made me think, and sometimes you made me mad...at situations.
Why the great ones always get afflicted with things I'll never know. I guess that's why dumasses live so long.
Rich I've listened to your box set so much that I find expressions slipping into regular life. That just showed how much you have flowed into a true fan, too young to understand you when you first proformed live what we now hear recorded.
I have heard some say you standup was usually against whites, but anyone with a pulse was fair game. That was the beauty of it.
Believe it or not Rich, listening to you helped change me from a shy timid boy, into a bold, determined, raw, no bullshit man. There was no other way that could turn out.
Mostly I've found that the word motherfucker can be used for damned near any and everything. That's thanks to you too.
You changed comedy, you changed America, you changed me. It may sound [/i]sweet[/i] but I love you for it.
