deepseas,
shoot, lines from The Color Purple get you thru the day.
"this my chance to break from Mista jail" (bad day at work, or changing jobs)
"any mo letters come" (somebody messing up your program on purpose)
"chile you need to bash Mista's head in now and worry bout heaven lata" (sometimes what you have to do, well, not the bashing, but the analogy)
"sister, we're two of a kind, so sister, I'm keeping my eye on you..." - Shug singing Miss Celie's Blues (sisterhood, self-esteem esp. for this next line)
"remember your name, no twister gonna steal your stuff away" (always believe in yourself, no matter what someone does in a harmful way to you)

smjmcomic,
I'm not a huge fan of gangster flicks, but anytime Goodfellas comes on, I end up staring at my TV for 3 hours.

deepseas,
Lately, it's been "Walk the Line". Odd, never been a Johnny Cash fan, although his songs kinda cross the boundaries and I knew most of his hits. I guess cuz it's a film about a guy trying to make it big and pursuing the love of his life as he struggles. I can relate.

Re: What movie can you watch over and over again?
I like the boxing comedy film "Let's Do it again" with Sidney Poitier, Bill Cosby & Jimmy Walker.
There's a scene where Jimmy Walker's boxing coach is talking to the press about the oncoming fight. He's all excited and hyped up, totally overexaggerating Jimmy's boxing abilities to the media by stating that his fighter is the "Best in the world". But when all the photographers and reporters leave, Jimmy turns to him and says "coach, do you really think that I've got a chance against this guy?"
To which his coach replies coldly "Son, He's gonna beat your brains out!!"
that shit wipes me out!!!
Peace gee

Appaloosa,
my all time favorite is now on DVD...Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, I got out my old six shooter, cowboy hat, boots and a bottle of mezcal and am ready to watch it for the umpteenth time, my wifes going to be pissed if I shoot the tv again....speaking of pissed, I havn't been up to Las Cruces and "watered" Garretts grave in awhile.
"Sometimes the grass don't grow, the wind don't blow and the sky aint blue"...watched Little Big Man earlier, another one I can watch over and over.
