Lets swap heckler stories!!!

My worst heckler I ever had to put up with was during my 2nd gig I'm olny 5"3 I'm not a big guy and this stupid drunk fuck thought it would be a good idea to yell MIDGET!! abunch of times During my set keep in mind I was nervous enough with it being my 2nd time on stage. It was a real ego kill for me cuz the heckler was getting more laughs then me I did get through my set it took 3 months till I got the balls to get back on stage.


my third gig some

I was in mid set the crowd was great laughing having a great time then I did a joke about the Raiders losing to the Broncos and some guy in a Raider sweatshirt throw his drank at me.I was soaked, pissed but this was the first time I really had a crowd laughing so I just fineshed my set the guy ended up getting kicked out. I think that was the night I was really bit by the comedy bug


before I go on about the next even I wanna make it clear that I have nothing against the Homosexually community at all.

I was at the M-Bar in Hollywood I was at the end of my set the crowd was stiff they were not digging me at all. To make along story short I did a Roy Horn joke that back fired BIG TIME! I forgot what was said to me but an angrey group of Homosexually's keep shouting how they were going to kick my ass in the warking lot and show me who was really a queen. I thought for sure I was going to picking giltter out of my skull for weeks. But they were just all talk I got away fine.

As for me, I was doing a bit I always do about being Italian and during the bit I say, "I'd rather die a childless old maid than have a Non-Italian baby" now of course I was being silly, which is our job to be silly and make people laugh. This line almost always gets a laugh but one time a chic yells out..."You're Racist!!"

I said "Racist?" "I'm racist?" "Look I'm the one who has to carry the baby, go through 9 months of discomfort completely SOBER and God only knows what kinda HELL during labor so if I want to have a "Little Bambino", I'm gonna have it! FUCK YOU BITCH!"

The crowd LOVED it but the chic who heckled me got so pissed off, she stood up and tried to bum-rush the stage It was crazy

lol. this is funny shit. I think this might end up being the best topic posted yet if the stories keep coming. I'll be checking back on this one.
I've never done standup, but it sounds like you could kinda assume what folks might try by thinking about your material, and yourself, from other perspectives. Maybe have a lil defense material ready if you're not good at striking back off the top. I know it's not that simple, just a thought. I'm sure you never really know til you're up there.

kick ass topic. i never did standup but played in weird bands. one time i was playing in a new wave band called 'peter dish and the specimens' at a bar in georgia. this one guy kept screaming at the top of his lungs 'HEY DEVO!! DEVO!!!!' with his country accent. funny.

Matter of fact my last gig I was the opening act for my friends band and it was a fucking nightmare it was a high school aged crowd most of my jokes went over there heads. They were too worried about looking cool then laughing and having a good time.
