Anditsdeeptoo,
Good Picks especailly Tribe,PE (both Spike Lee directed if I'm not mistaken)Let me see what else:

-some of Beasties Boys videos have made appreciate the song
-I think PE's "Night of the Living Base" was one of the first to have skits etc in videos(gift or curse, you be the judge)
- I used to love Billy Joel's Video for "Tell her About It" back in the days
-Fuck it, Mike had a few ground breakers

There are alot of videos I used to love coming up but when I look at them now the production values takes away from the quality.I used to tape hip hop videos back in the days b/c it was such a commodity, now hip hop is everywhere....you kids have got it lucky!!!

I went to Zimbabwe. I know how white people feel in America now; relaxed! Cause when I heard the police car I knew they weren't coming after me!

dumbass,

I heard that MTV showed an actual music video sometime in 2001, but it is an unsubstantiated rumor...

dumbass,

that video (weapon of choice) is unreal. In fact, most of the Spike Jonze videos are pretty great...

For sheer insanity, most any Chris Cunningham video will do (Aphex Twin, Squarepusher)...

If you really want to see great videos, check out the Directors Series DVD's from Palm Pictures. Right now there's three discs : Spike Jonze, Chris Cunningham, and Michel Gondry. All of them are fucking great.

I think the next in the series is Mark Romenek, who just recently did Jay-Z's 99 Problems. check out http://www.markromanek.com/
