Eddie Griffin

Post by mojones »

Why didn't you guys tell me he was that funny? I only know Griffin from television. I saw his Malcolm and Eddie show and caught maybe one performance on Def Comedy Jam. But believe me, he's infinitely funnier than that. I bought the Hey, That's Funny CD and he has a cut on it about Jesus. Funniest I have ever heard him. Motivated me to go out and buy one of his CD's....

mojones,

Haven't heard the CD's; guess I need to...
I saw his HBO Set and thought he was real
good. Of course, I have UNDERCOVER BROTHER
on VHS & DVD...

I dig his "performance" in I AN'T DEAD YET, MOTHERFUCKER.
You can hear Jen lose it in the background...

Smokey H,

I forgot he was in that and hilarious too. Undercover Brother was very funny. Still waiting for the sequel. I'm in and out all the time. So I seldom get the chance to watch cable. Maybe I should get tivo or something. Anyway, I plan on buying the DVD of I AIN'T DEAD YET... when it comes out. Did you see Dysfunctional Family? If so, would you recommend it?

Smokey H,
Was the HBO set back when he first started out and did his Michael jackson impression? :)

bingolong,

Yeah, that was the one I saw. He did a great Mikey impersonation. I seem to recall he did a killer Prince and Sammy Davis Jr. impression on his old television show. Thanks Quiche for your input too. I remember when Dysfunktional Family came out. But there wasn't much buzz on it. So I skipped it. I'll probably rent it instead of buying the DVD.

mojones,
He is very funny. I had heard talks of him a couple of years ago playing Richard in a Biopic. Anyone hear of that?

I liked his Uncle in the Dysfunctional family picture. The one who had all of the pictures of the ladies.
Dracula, what kind of name is that for a niggah!
