The first Richard Pryor album I ever heard was "That Nigger's Crazy" back in '74, when I was 12. I'll always have a particular soft spot for that LP.

The first Pryor album I actually owned was '78's "Wanted/Live In Concert," which I purchased a couple of years after its release. (I remember buying it a few months after Richard set himself on fire.) Overall, I'd have to say that it's my favorite, but, if I have a choice, the film "Live In Concert" (featuring many of the same bits) is even better 'cuz you get the priceless visuals.

Yeah, "That Nigger's Crazy" is one of my faves, and we listen to it alot at work. "Bicentennial Nigger" is up there too.
