Damnit I love this movie. I used to watch this movie all the time growing up. I swear HBO showed it every day and I loved it. I saw it in the theater too. This movie always cheers me up when I watch it. I know it's not everyones's favorite Richard Pryor movie and the kid ended up in porn films but I wanted a fucking wonder wheel!!

I'md efinitely with you on this!!!That's weird that this movie doesn't get the props it deserves b/c the crazy thing is I've never thought that this was a bad movie.Hell I used to want to be that kid just to kick it with Rich!!And you can't forget this was also the comedic pairing of Richard Pryor and the late great Jackie Gleason.

It's like critics were saying it was derogatory because he worked for the "man" like it was a fucking throwback to slavery!!I don't know too many people who could've turned down the money "Masterbates" was dishing out.Especially a recently unemployed brotha!!!

Plus it wasn't like Rich was playing a con or something, he was playing an educated journalist that was out of work! His wife worked in groups that fought against racial injustice in the south!He and that boy crashed that party for the "Grand Wizard"!!
C'mon how could anyone hate that
