To Jennifer's detractors

I was just telling my husband what a great site this is and how much I was surprised that with it being a public forum there were so few negative comments. Tonight is the first opportunity I have had to really read previous post. I was so disappointed to learn that there had obviously been some statements made that may have hurt or pissed off Jennifer. It is amazing how so many people can view the same story and each have a different opinion. Yes, what MS does is sad but Richard is an inspiration for letting us into his life and showing such spectacular courage. Truth has always been a major part of his genius. He has always taken some of the most painful events in his life and some how made us laugh. Not that MS is funny what I mean is he always kept it real. Some of the most painful events in his life have been a part of his routine. Everyone remember how he talked about setting himself on fire? Well to me this is the same thing. It's painful and it's real. I was blown away by many things I saw in the story, Richard's courage, Richard & Jennifer's love for each other, Richard's sense of humor. I believe it was Robin Williams that said It's a shame that this disease effects Richard's ability to speak because I can just bet he is thinking some real funny shit! His mind is still alert and he is the same comic genius we all love.
It's people like Richard that make me realize how precious life is. It puts my so called problems in perspective and how much I admire Richard and Jennifer's courage. Wasn't it Bridgett Bardo or Marlena Detrick that became a recluse simply because she didn't want people to see her get old? Now if someone is going to run and hide simply because of a few wrinkles how courageous is it to show us the reality of fighting a disease!

Jennifer, there always seems to be at least one asshole in a crowd but it looks like there are more of us that truly admire and respect both you and Richard. It is so great to have a site like this one. The fact that you take time out of your life to participate on this forum just shows how truly involved and caring you are for Richard. I am responsible for the care of a seriously ill love one and I find inspiration and humor when I sometimes need it the most from this site. I thank you for giving us all this opportunity to communicate with you and Richard. Infact just this past weekend I had to make some changes in order to insure proper care and I received criticism at a time that I really didn't need it. Worse of all was that it was done behind my back to incite others to question my decisions. I was pissed! How dare someone that shows up maybe once a month have enough nerve to even question my decisions and to act like such a coward in the process! So I can relate to how difficult it is to be doing your best and giving your all and have some truly ignorant person try to stomp on you. Keep your head up! You have more supporters here than critics.
