Is outsourcing working ?

Post by Kitainclaws »

After working for a major credit card company for 5 years, I can't believe I was laid off along with our whole site due to outsourcing. It really sucks. I was in a position where I took alot of escalated calls, and the number of people calling in to complain about heavy accents on reps that they could not understand, and the reps not even having a clue how to help was just crazy. How do you feel when you call and get an obvious out of country helper ? Do you deal with them or hang up and try to get another or do you stop doing business w/ them altogether ?
I hope to always be the type of person that my dog thinks I am.

Kitainclaws,

I voted #3 because that's what I'd do in a perfect world. I all depends on how pissed off I was at the time of the call. I might just ask them if there is a number I can call to speak to an American... (no offense meant to people who live outside the USA, I just think American companies should employ Americans like British employ British, etc.)
