Noib,
Greg Giraldo called it,"...the most degrading show in the history of comedy."
With the exception of a couple of comics, the show is pure shit. You cannot have a comedy competition while showing the comics offstage. This way people are voting based on who left toilet seat up, not on who was the funniest comedian.

Noib,
I liked that it gave comics another chance to be seen. It also was good for the clubs because they were able to pack out the clubs by booking these comedians. I wish it would have been more about comedy. Having people sit around the house and interact is bullshit. I wanted to see them doing more comedy related shit. Have them do a regular comedy club. Have them do a BET/DEF Jam type room. The roast was cool.
They ruined the show by bringing on the 3rd season a couple of weeks after the 2nd season. They did this because they did not have enough shows for NBC and they came with the 1st season vs. 2nd season format. The ratings fell and they did not even show the finals. This was the explanation off the Jay Mohr site.
Also it is amazing that they did this whole country search for comedians and magically ended up with comedians that already had deals with NBC or the agents for the show anyway. This was off the cringehumor.net site.

I liked Ralphie May even before I found out he was born in my hometown....but I recently saw him live and he is the Real McCoy

I went to Zimbabwe. I know how white people feel in America now; relaxed! Cause when I heard the police car I knew they weren't coming after me!

amp-d,
yeah, I thought that was weird how I'd seen alot of those guys on Comedy Central doing shows before... I'd like to see them adopt a more American Idol type format, and have them do more comedy-applicable activities, like sketches, shit like that...

bingolong,
Ralphie is very funny. Also a nice guy.
I gave all of the comics a break because it is very hard to come up with 8pm Network clean comedy. A lot of the comics were already in tight with Barry Katz. I can't knock em they did do something to get there.
I tried out in Cashville last year. I waited in the snow and cold from 5 AM until 1pm. I was freezing my nuts off. My teeth were still chattering in the audition.
