Upon seeing this book I simply had to buy it. For many years now I have enjoyed Richard's character within many films. Now I'm a slow reader, but this book I went through like lightning, I skipped all my Pub time, TV and even sacrificed nookie in bed to finish this detailed novel.
I must say I only ever knew the Richard Pryor from his film acting career, a timid kinda guy so the book really enlightened me, at one point I almost didnt want to carry on, I put the book down in disgust for reading the bad points didn't fit the face that told them, but I soon gave in to temptation. I had to respect the guy for he had been so open, things that werent pretty were told, this guy genuinely opened the doors to realism for us all to share.
After finishing 'Pryor Convictions', I stuck on 'Some Kinda Hero', and you know, I liked this Richard guy even more.
The book for me was wholey refreshing, told in such a smart way that you actually felt like you were on Richard's shoulder all the way through.
Any fans out there of Richard, honestly do have a read of it, I'm sure it will bring you closer to this funny guy.
Take care all.......

I went to Zimbabwe. I know how white people feel in America now; relaxed! Cause when I heard the police car I knew they weren't coming after me!
