Yeah he told the truth but he picked the wrong time. He should have waited until he got himself a spot on Larry king and come prepared. Instead he tainted the vibe of what other artists were trying to do. I'm sure Richard Gere and Wynton thought and felt the same as Kanye but they were smart enough to carry out the task that they were there for. Kanye may have easily prevented many people from sending in money by speaking out of his head. He truly dropped the ball.

Catch -22 I see both sides of what you are saying but here is the thing:

-like you said it was the truth and if it wasn't the truth Bush has the do better than wait 5 days to prove that it's not
-if people take what he said and don't contribute to the cause they wasn't going to in the the first place....I won't go that far but the fact is if what he said prevents someone from donating time or money then they obviously don't realize the magnitude of this disaster!! I would be more imposed to donate based an authentic emotional plea than someone reading from a teleprompter ( How many people do you actually know who have contributed with one of those $0.25a day causes?)

Besides I don't think an initial Larry King appearance would've have got the point out there like this....

( I don't think it was the place to get that message across like I don't think that the Comics and Comedy Forum is the place for us to be talking about this

Now when he goes on Larry King ( cause you know with this incident and an his recent album release these places are clamoring for him ) he can build on this and then it will be his time to get his voice heard...I think he has set up a good opportunity to get some points across....He was just on the cover of Time magazine last week for petes sake!!

I am not mad at Kanye for telling the truth and not being Politically Correct I am mad at BUSH for not being POLITICALLY CORRECT!!!

I dont think West didnt anything wrong. He was quite visibly upset. Its obvious he spoke from the heart. And honestly how can anybody question that ?

Kanye West is a pretentious jackass. There is no question he picked the wrong place and time to speak out. For someone who makes their living putting words together in rapid succession, he sounded like a fool. A charity event is no place for someone to get up on their soapbox. His people this...his people that...he doesn't know those poor souls from Joe Blow...stick to music Kanye.
