Ok so Im new to this so-called comedy thang( about two months in), and I'm so frustrated with people telling me about what I can and can't say,that I'm about to pull all the hair out of the crack of my ass with a pair of needle nose pliers.Why is it that?why don't they understand that it is my ultimate calling to say exactly what I'm thinking, which is everything they wanna say, but can't grow the Cojones( balls in spanish for the Bilingaully challenged) to actaully say it.Why are Mutherfucker,shit,ass,Dick,Pussy, so GODdamn stigmatized.I mean...I don't know....we got a govenor who can't pronounce the state he represents, a president who can't spell the Country he's in charge of, hell i bet those damn animals on his Ranch( which he so conveniently always relaxing on whenever the shits hitting the fan somewhere in His country)Can give a far more elequent speech than his DO9( old school retarted classes)ass,( doing my best horse addressing the nation impersonation, right know!) and all the MC's at these So called comedy stores are worried about how many times I say Mutherfucker.what they should be worried about is how the hell can we be a Trillion dollars in debt when we make our own damn money....ok...ok...I think i'm thru ranting and raving for the present moment( but dont get too comfortable, it's still early)....Ok so where was this going again... oh yeah simply put if I can't tell the truth about what's really going on, and use words that everybody understands( though they might not like all of them)then...wait is'nt that our job as comedians, to be comic commentators on the universe around us, well I'm still raving and shit so I'll just wrap it up till next time. by the way The Title is M*&$#^F*$6!^%G CENSORS(For those that went HUH!)

TheeF, I went through this frustration when I was new last summer. Now I have a PG 13 set for clubs and corporate deals, and then I do urban rooms, or book rooms on my own where I can go buck wild and talk about any thing I want. There are forces out there that want to make comedy as bland and boring as possible, you can work without cussing and fuck them up with your ideas. Corporate america is working as hard as they can to make everything in the world as boring and non offensive, and as devoid of soul as they can.

It's frustrating. But that should provide you with incentive to get even better at your craft. Once you're good enough, they'll do anything to get you in their room. In the meantime, do some of the minor showcases where anything goes. You might even try approaching a bar about bringing a comedy night there. Some of these places would bend over backwards to have entertainment and their clientele love it blue..

smjmcomic, a club as a private owned business has the right to say what they expect, and we have the right to not do them. hell I like to be versatile, I think it's cool to be able to work clean and get over with a older crowd, and then go to a dive bar clean comics are afraid to do and throw it down there to.
