'I See Black People'

Post by Ali »

I wanted to know where Mos Def's reading of Richard's "I see black people" on the Comedy Central special is from, and if anyone has it in text? I thought that was awesome, especially with Mos Def being the one reading it. Thanks.

Ali,
It's from RIchard's diary, written by Richard. It will be on the dvd i am putting together-out in the fall.

Jennifer,

Did Mr. P. keep a diary for many years?

I'm sure most of it he'll keep private but I think it's cool of him to share [/i]I See Black People[/i] with us. I've noticed you've gotten many, many, many inquiries re: this very thoughtful entry.

Jennifer,

Man that's awesome! I'm sure it'll be priceless when you guys make the film of his life ;) Man I can't wait for that movie to come out. I'm sure it'll be PRIMO, the kinda film that'll be talked about for years to come.

SweetLuchia,

"Pain+Passion+ART"

How cool are you Ms. SweetL? I don't know...your words of expression made me think of Richard and his Journey in life. He's had a wild one. From what I can see, he didn't meet his match or that person that would prove him wrong until he met Jennifer Lee. This is wild!!!! I'm gonna finish this thought under Jen's book thread.......

Anyway,

Richard had a freakin painful world around him...always...A prime example of "Lucky in love". Do you get what I'm saying?

Right-Right
