Funniest thing I saw today...

The funniest thing I saw today was an African on the subway talking to an African woman in some African language I do not know (not that I am an expert in any language, including English.)

So this guy is talking away in some language that 12 people in the USA speak.

He is also wearing a t-shirt that says: "Speak the language or GET THE FUCK OUT."

When I was on vacation earlier this week, I overheard an early morning conversation between two guys working in a record store...

Guy 1: So what did you do last night?

Guy 2: I went to a play that started at 11:00.

Guy 1: A play at 11:00?

Guy 2: Yeah. I really enjoyed it. It was good to go out at night and see something other than another shitty band. Although it was a play about a shitty band...

The funniest thing that I ever saw was once, when I was crossing Crenshaw and Slauson (South Central LA) and I was at the stop light. It turns green, but no one can go...because it is this guy - in a wheel chair - rocking his wheel chair back and forth, like it was equipped with hydraulics - the damn thing had CHROME wheels & he had a boom box strapped to the back of it. He was doing all of this show boating while simultaneously throwing up crip gang signs. & this guy was going slow a heck! People were like behind us, blowing their horns and stuff - wondering why the hell the people at the front of the line had not started moving through the light---->because they could not see what the hold up was. I felt like yelling out the window " Hurry yo' ass up, fool! Ain't you got enough of that gang shit yet...I mean that is what put you in that wheelchair, didn't it??? GEt yo azz across that street before one of these folks blowing the horn shoot you azz again"

I know we are suppose to give a modicum of respect to the disabled people, but that fool was just plain ole ignorant.
