I see no one has posted this, so I thought I would....since I am a Lil Kim fan.

I am a fan because the girl is the only female rapper HOLDING it down in the hip-hop world - even though she did go to jail. & even though she spend her money on frivilous stuff, she does do a lot for urban youth and for women & children at risk.

Also, her last album, Notorious K.I.M - received 5 mikes in the Source Mag. For those that are not is the know - that is like receiving a ghetto grammy award!

So, I wish her a happy welcome home and hope she can put this episode of her life behind her.....like Martha Stuart did.

fortunately I noticed her return home and it was front page buzz in NYC and top story on news. and she lives in the area, so hard not to notice.

and unlike Martha Stewart, I will be following Lil Kim's career. I have 3 of her CD's - not bootleg, but bought in music store, either Tower or Target.

Yes! I heard That!

I just went to the swapmeet on Saturday and re-purchased her 1st and 2nd CD - La Bella Mafia is that shiznet! See, some theif stole these CDs and a few others (namely DMX, Tupac, Prince & Biggie) when I had my housewarming party. I betcha I won't invit NONE of those fools over again!

I will be following her career too! Kim is the girl!

I bet it was rather soemthing in NY when she got out, huh?

& on the bootleg shot - DougDigi HATES that crap! You want to make him mad, let him catch a bootlegger in his neighborhood - he runs them out! Being an artist, he really despises that! So you know I can not EVER do the bootleg thing - not that I would want to anyway! He will appreciate that comment you made.

I was surprised to see a lot of local media coverage, even all the way to her house, which ain't too far from Whitney's. but Lil Kim is a fashion icon as well who sets trends.

but bootlegging is a pet peeve-I wish I can drop kick seller back to stone age because it's all too common on streets. movies in theaters are already on the streets for sale. for every bust here comes another team to set up to sell more. it's an all day every day scam.

I only wish buyers would be more respectful and say no.

movies/music/art cost money. legal teams to get it copyrighted, trademarked, licensed and released ain't cheap either. someone scraped up $$ to make it happen, or borrowed money. and here comes some busta who wants to ride that hard work train at someone else's expense!!!

& That is real...buster azz bootleggers! Liek Lil Kim say to the bootlegger "Try again muthaphucca!"

LEt me tell you....It is this guy, who comes in the nail shop, says he is Mr. Pretty (& he is so....NOT!!!) and why is he in the nail shop? - to sell shit, he is the undisputed KING of the bootleggers. He has bootleg movies & CD's back from the 70's, 80's, 90's and current. He has the knock of purses, sunglasses and watches. He even has knock off throw back jerseys!!!!!! + the fake synthetic hair - saying it is human!!!!

Then he be singing for the ladies, telling them how pretty they are...then ends his visit by saying "I hope ya'll man treats ya'll right and buy one of my movies tonite so ya'll can watch it after he takes you out to dinner at the Claim Jumpers!"

His azz is crazy (I think I need to add him to my "strange Sights thread, huh?)

By the way, Claim Jumpers is a restaurant! Sound kind of precarious, doesn't it!?!?

I know, sad how our nail and hair salons are the bootleg capitols of the world. you'd think the salon owners would not let 'em in but hey, they're buying too. ;p

amazing what you can buy at a hair salon in the hood. I won't be surprised to hear someone bought auto parts or an actual car.

but I wonder what Lil Kim will do next? and will she still hang w/any of the people she took the fall for?

you see Shyne's ass is singing a whole new song now. Lil Kim is probably feeling blessed, relieved and concerned. but as long as she has the right folks around, she'll be alright.

But Junior Mafia - she STRAIGHT dogged them on her album. I do not think she is EVA gonna mess with those snitches again.

She has a song on tghat Album - Notorious KIM (#7)...Called Slippin"....the hook lyrics say:
