Real Class Act .

Post by bcddjjsc690 »

The Mike Douglass show was a staple of day time TV for over 20 years, and who was cooler than him , to have John and Yoko co - host for a week ?

http://www.showbuzz.cbsnews.com/stories ... 7751.shtml - RIP - Mike Douglass'

My favorite Mike Douglass show moment was went he had Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes appearing on the show ,
Harold Melvin had not yet arrived and Mike was getting nervous while interviewing the rest of the band , Teddy Pendergrass assured him they would go on without a hitch , they did ,and a star (solo ) was born .

bcddjjsc690,

yup, he definitely did set it off, as far as the talk show goes. I did remember watching this show w/my grandmother. didn't realize the significance of the show until now in looking back at all of Douglas' guests

bcddjjsc690,
Awwman I almost skipped this topic b/c of the title...I thought it was some "Kid & Play" reference.;p

There was a significant show that Pryor did on his show too... b.b
