What if Kal-El, being from a planet with a red sun, had skin that didn't happen to match up perfectly with the rural caucasian family that came across this amazing child in a rocket that crashed in a field?
Alright. That one is easy to imagine... especially if the Kent couple were typical of 1930's rural caucasian people. The boy would be lucky he was indestructible!
Now imagine if the rocket landed on a plantation in 1835. Now a black superman back in the slave days would be emancipating like a MF!
