Rambo

Post by Mister Gee »

They just showed "Rambo III" on TV over here where John Rambo assists the Afghan Rebels (aka the Taliban) in fighting against the russians. it's weirdly ironic to look at the film now, the last line of the credits states: "dedicated to the gallant people of Afghanistan in their struggle"

I bet i know what the last line of "Rambo IV" would be!

Mister Gee,
I went to Zimbabwe. I know how white people feel in America now; relaxed! Cause when I heard the police car I knew they weren't coming after me!

bingolong,
Rambo without a doubt is the most realistic Military movie ever, much more so then far fetched war movies like the Deer Hunter and Apocolypse Now. It was the first movie to ever point out the well known fact that there are such things as machine guns that never run out of bullits, and that by wearing a red bandanna around yoru dome you will be infused with the super human abilities to jump out of a tree from 200 feet and not break your legs. Stalone also gave us the most realistic cop movie ever in Cobra.

Mister Gee,
nothing in the world beats the first 10 mins of the movie Cobra..it takes a true master story teller to fit that many cliches into 10 mins.

Murphdogg,

I never saw Cobra, but I gotta admit I did like First Blood. They just took the idea of a super-soldier too far in the sequels.

I think we should send in Rambo to look for Osama, think about it:

a) he's been there before and knows the terrain,
b) he probably helped train Osama & his crew,
c) I doubt that there is a single afghan who hasn't heard the tale about how Rambo took out the whole Russian army with just one machine gun!

Go get 'em John-boy!!
:p :p :p

Peace gee ;)
