This man was an impressionist bar none in his time. Before Rich Little ,before Fred Travelena. And he had a rubber face decades before Jim Carrey. There may have been a few guys that did 'voices'...but Frank Gorshin was the most talented I ever saw on TV .And his role as THE RIDDLER is a classic.
As far as age goes, lets just say B.C.....before cable . R.I.P.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Gorshin - GORSHIN BIO'
I met him. He semed like a nice guy. He couldn't go 10 minutes without smoking, so it comes as a huge surprise that he had lung cancer and emphysema...
JTF,
I remember a joke I saw him do on the Tonite show with Johnny Carson.
"I almost got hit by a bus today,"he said," and Kirk Douglas' life flashed before my eyes."
Funny guy.
bcddjjsc690,
yeah I liked Gorshwin a lot.....Little sometimes sounds like the impressions he does sound alike....maybe you get tonedeaf after a while....I dont know
in the UK we only really knew FG as The Riddler - but he was always my fave Batman baddie!
I liked him in Twelve Monkeys, there's a bit where he puts a ciggie in his mouth in a really smooth move that made me laugh....you have to see it to see what I mean.
