well, meet Judith Barnett, the granddaughter of the former governor of Mississippi, Ross Barnett. if you know the history of Medgar Evers and the original trials of Byron De La Beckwith, the name Ross Barnett should jump right out. Barnett ran for governor *AND WON* on a "I hate nigras" platform. he vowed there would never be integration AND during one of the original trials, Barnett distracted Myrlie Evers' testimony as if what she was saying was trivial by walking into the courtroom and proudly shaking the hand of Byron De La Beckwith, who was then NOT convicted by a jury of his peers. (what we need is the names of all the original jurors from both trials.) Ross Barnett then went on to become a judge. hmmm... is this why a black man couldn't get a fair trial in Mississippi??

Judith ran for PUBLIC office in Mississippi on the Democratic ticket - for a judge seat in Hinds County - same county Evers assassinated in. but that means nothing, because so many other klansmen since the klan originated were Democrats. Judith's wealth, privilege and education came from her grandfather being funded by campaigning and elected to keep the "nigra" in its place.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a photo of Carolyn Bryant (Emmett Till's co-murderer
