My thoughts on Richard

Post by Nick »

I'm a new member, and I found this site after looking for videos of Richard. I just want to say that this is an awesome place, and I am happy it's around. I couldn't believe there was a site like this, and I couldn't believe that Richard sees all of this. That is amazing and it makes me feel good that Richard can hear from fans.

Anyway, I was inspired and I typed some random thoughts on Richard.

I just started getting into Richard Pryor. Richard Pryor is a genius. He was sitting on the line between blacks and whites, and loved by both because everyone could relate to him and what he was saying. Richard is a speaker of truth. He tells the truth in a funny way, and everyone can relate.

I just found out about Richard's love and commitment to animals, and that is amazing. I am an animal lover, so this was great too hear. I LOVED when Richard talked about animals in his standup comedy. That was great, When he was in New Orleans, and the crab came on stage, and he was trying to get water for the crab I was like "No!!! I don't think they can live in water. Don't do it!" But that didn't matter because Richard's heart was in the right place. He was genuinly concerned, but was still able to make a jokes about it and present it in a funny way.

It makes me sad and very curious about Richard nowadays. I wonder how he is doing all the time now. I constanty wonder about him. How is he doing physically and mentally? I just want to let him know people love him. We really love him. We don't just love his brilliant material and the way he presented it, but we love him as a person. We think about Richard all the time and he's always in our hearts.

Once you've seen Richard Pryor, you're changed forever.

When someone asks you "Who's the best standup comic of all time?", you have you're answer without thinking. When judging other comedians, you compare them to the bar that Richard Pryor set. Richard gave us a standard to judge comedy on.

People of all ages, races, and cultures are discovering Richard Pryor EVERY day. That is an amazing fact, and it shows his impact on the world. Richard Pryor's material is still relevent to the world today, and it always will be, atleast in all of our life times.

Richard had this ability to take things he obversed, and present them in a way we could all understand and enjoy. He was a brilliant mimic and actor. They way he did things on stage was incredible. I mean, I could analyze his performances all night long. That's how fascinating he is. The guy is absolutely brilliant. I hope he understands how great he actually is. Does he understand his own brilliance? I really hope he does.

I am going to keep checking this site for imformation, and to see Richard's journal. I am going to read everything Richard Pryor related, and I am going to buy everything Richard ever made. It is really great to see a place full of people that appreciate Richard Pryor the way I do, and I am glad that I am now apart of this place. Thanks a lot
