Greetings Everyone:
I'm new and saying hello. Hello. Saw the link on the Biography Channel & dropped in. Where to start with why Richard Pryor is both venerable and Always hilarious? Why he's been making me laugh since the 70's (my brother & sister were 10 yrs older, & they played the LP's for me), how he's changed the way people look at each other and themselves, the lines in the sand that he just blew the sand away from?
I'm more than sure there are a lot more peeps here a lot more well versed in background history, etc than I, and I defer to them and want to know more. That's the thing with Richard Pyor, the funnier he is, the more he makes you think, and it's something I want to impart to my kid. Watched Brewster's Millions AGAIN with my 11 year old and what came across to him was what an incrdibly nice guy Richard Pyor was. Not black, not white, a funny person, and that's what sticks.
Nice to find a place that's both funny and thought provoking. Oh, and I love the animal section too!, been rescuing critters off the street since I was younger than my kid is now. Sank Gott Richard a'int near dead yet!
