Tarnished Angel: examine this line...

Post by Nan »

This is Nan's first post, so -Hello :) to all-.

Jennifer never explained the meaning of the following line,
so I have decided to take a 'stab' at it.

pg#420: "Okay, Jenny, here it is: Must be is 'cause must
be ain't don't sound right".

I believe the meaning is: 'something' (expressed, or done)
must be true, and correct, because to not believe (at that
particular time) seems incorrect, and/or unreasonable.

Nan,

Wasn't the statement more like, "must be cause must ain't don't sound right?'

That makes more sense to me than all that "youmustbeain't " shit you were talking about. I have the hard cover copy of Jennifer's book. My pages are different from yours. Hmmm...???

Vee,
There's a thought. I'll go get my book (soft cover),
and check. Back soon. If my log on disappears, I'll
redo it.

Vee,
Whoa, we're both wrong--by just one word (each).
My book has, "Must be is 'cause must ain't don't sound
right."
Is That what your book has?
I still think the meaning is the same.
e.g.-If I say,-the square root of 9 is 3. One might
respond with--it must be true because no other answer
sounds right.
