Greetings from the Uk.

Post by Okse »

Just wanted to drop in and say Hi, my names Okse pronounced oxy, would of spelt it like Oxy but they started selling that spot cream over here in the Uk!

I just wanted to say Richard Pryor, you're the funniest men ever to put his two feet on the stage.

A friend and I, sat in our local Kebab shop tonight and recalled gags from your Richard Pryor Live in Concert DVD, the thing is it doesn't sound so good in a Birmingham (UK) accent (very similar to Ozzy) but we tried!

You are a God Mr P!

I have started doing stand up in the Uk since December 03,

I hope to find my true voice.

Hope you are cool, great site by the way.

Okse,

I'll be watching the footie too! Watching Rooney score goals for the world to see. I feel like I haven't done anything with my life when an 18 year old is doing wonderful things like that... b.b

Oh and welcome. The soccer thing was a new experience for me. It seems like everybody finds that to be a top priority--slightly higher than, I don't know, breathing.

Yay for world soccer!

saintgooner,

I'll be watching it if my host mom doesn't make me bake muffins. I'm serious. I'll try my darndest to see it though. I missed the second England game and they kicked some ass! I really haven't followed much soccer/football before this year, but it's the only interesting thing around here lately. I knew about Footy Spice and how sexy he was supposed to be, but not much else.

But Rooney...the guy is awesome. Like I said, I feel like I haven't done anything with my life when he's doing such a great job playing!

I'll be back stateside come Monday, so I don't know how much more Soccer/football I'll be able to see, but if I get a chance, I'll definitely check out the saints. Although, I gotta check out more Man United first... I hope that doesn't make me too evil, but give me a break, I'm trying!

Out.

jane_haze,
Hope you managed to see the game last night, even if Portugal whooped us.I didn't rate that plonker refereeing the game though, how could he disallow that goal they didn't touch the keeper.Unfortunately it all started going pear shaped when Rooney got injured!
Did you have to bake the muffins last night?you can't beat a home cooked muffin. When are you travelling back home? Also please don't support Manchester united, they have to many fans anyway. If you can't bring yourself to support the mighty Southampton you could always try Arsenal nicknamed "The Gunners" or "The Gooners" as we like to say. This is why the second part of my user name is Gooner.Although normally a football crime to support 2 teams here,I'm allowed because Southampton is where I have lived most of my life but Highbury the home of Arsenal is where I was born.Hope I haven't bored you too much with this inane rambling.Wayne.

saintgooner,

I was forced to bake those muffins. They were lovely--strawberry. I had the game on while I was baking, but then my host mom came in and changed the channel... b.b. So, when I was watching, the score was 1:0 England. I did find out the score by the end of the night, and was very, very disappointed.... :(

I'm begin my travels early Sunday morning and won't reach my destination until Monday. I'm going to fly the long way around the world to get to Alaska. Damnit. Not looking forward to that.

I know it's almost a crime to support the man united, but I still need to watch a few before I can get fully into the rest of the league. It's like baseball's yankees, or basketball's lakers. You gotta start somewhere, but I do know that those are the teams one should not support just based on principle.

No, you haven't bored me. It gives me something to do.
