I do agree with honoring those that fought for civil rights,but he still is not giving any solutions,he's just pointing the finger without trying to understand what is really going on.

The Black slaves after receiving this indoctrination shall carry on and will become self refueling and self generating for HUNDREDS of years, maybe THOUSANDS. Don't forget you must pitch the OLD black Male vs. the YOUNG black Male, and the YOUNG black Male against the OLD black male. You must use the DARK skin slaves vs. the LIGHT skin slaves, and the LIGHT skin slaves vs. the DARK skin slaves. You must use the FEMALE vs. the MALE. And the MALE vs. the FEMALE. You must also have you white servants and over- seers distrust all Blacks. But it is NECESSARY THAT YOUR SLAVES TRUST AND DEPEND ON US. THEY MUST LOVE, RESPECT AND TRUST ONLY US. I always felt Cosby's show did a diservice to the African American community as it was so idealistic and non threatening that it prevented any true insight and understanding.

I agree with what you posted...but I don't feel it is appropriate to honor anyone who continues to say disparaging comments about poor black people. He refuses to look at the systemic oppression but rather chooses to focus on some type of Moniyhan report shit- like it is the families themselves to blame. Culture of poverty b.s. It makes me angry. Him and Henry Louis Gates Jr. should hook up and share their line together. The white supremist media loves it when they can find a dark skinned person to talk that kind of shit.
Kinda confused like Strom Thurmond's black daughter signing up for daughters of the confederacy. But that is another story.
