Lewis Black carries the torch

Post by phranky »

From Lenny to Richard to George and now to Lewis. It's good to have people slap us in the face with reality.

DrunkinChug,
Dennis Leary is alright but the last person to "slap" me in the face with reality was Bill Hicks. We need a voice

DrunkinChug,

Not to take anything away from Lewis Black but I'd have to David Cross is one who also great when it comes to satire

David Cross is good but I don't find him as satirical. I did overlook, however, Al Franken and Jeannine Garafalo.

phranky,
These so-called satirist are good but they lack an original viewpoint, conviction, and strong character

misplacedfate,

I respectfully disagree. Lewis Black's style is so in your face, I should think that he could make people think or piss them off simply reciting the phone book.

misplacedfate,

I see where you are coming from Lenny Bruce and Bill Hicks were verry much on there own page but David Cross in his own right is paving the way from him to gain a status like Bruce& Hicks. Just wait a few years you'll see what I mean ;)
