ClarkWashington,
Yeah he is no longer an "underdog" that's for sure!
I went to Zimbabwe. I know how white people feel in America now; relaxed! Cause when I heard the police car I knew they weren't coming after me!

Go 'head! Go 'head! :)
That is great to hear that he'll be back for two more seasons.
I never was really a big fan of Chappelle until I started watching the show in re-runs the first season. I was hooked after that. I always thought he was different, though. Especially after seeing him in "You've Got Mail" with Tom Hanks.
He really has just came out of nowhere and broke the fuckin' bank! The first black comedian I've seen in a long time that's truly making a difference in the game. Just like a certain other comedian did back in tha day. :) ;p

A great way to make a good comic unfunny real quick is by giving him 50 million bucks within 2 years.

Jennifer,
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see what happens to him in these next two seasons for sure. I hope he keeps a level head also.

And he's not running around everyday screaming, "I'm RICH, BITCH!"

Jennifer,

You are right on point. I HOPE HE DOES NOT GO HOLLYWOOD! A lot of times when you get all that cash it is hard to maintain that edge, focus, talent etc that got you that cash. I think that DAVE has and understanding of what he wants to do and what kind of legacy that he wants to leave behind so he will be fine.
Dracula, what kind of name is that for a niggah!

I disagree about "The Man Show." I thought it was hilarious, especially the Man Show Kid. Watching him out on the street selling beer was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. The show was very clever when Kimmel and Corolla were hosts. It went downhill quickly after they left.

One show I wish Comedy Central would bring back is "Short Attention Span Theater." It used to be hosted by Jon Stewart and some chick whose name I can't remember right now. Anyhow, it was a bunch of clips of comedians. HILARIOUS. I don't know why they got rid of it.

ClarkWashington,

With his hit cable tv show and 50 mil, Chappelle is a comedic force to be reckoned with. Congratulations to him! He deserves it. DC has been doing comedy since he was a teenager. He's no "Johnny-come-lately." Hopefully, he's well adjusted enough to handle his success. I love his "Tyrone Biggams," even if he's getting tired of doing it.

One thing I like about Chappelle is he's not trying to be Pryor, but forging ahead with his own personality. So many comics are trying to be the next incarnation of Pryor until it's hurting the artform. I understand imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. But there is only one Richard Pryor. Honor him by being yourself! Chappelle has chosen to do that...
