Richard and Gene

I guess just about my favorite comedy of all time has to be Stir Crazy. Can watch it for the ....teenth time and stil laugh out loud. Perhaps the thing that does it for me is the chemistry between Richard and Gene. It seems such an effortless partnership, but I would be interested to know what the real story is behind this. Do they still keep in touch?
Thanks Richard for being one of only two people who can bring tears (of laughter, naturally) to my eyes again and again. You are a gift and inspiration to all.

Damn, wish I'd never asked now. Just read the stuff on that discussion. Anyhow, the only Gene Wilder that I know is the guy who's made me laugh so many times, so that will do for me.

It depends who you ask. A friend of mine says that Gene is one of the nicest guys he ever knew. My friend is a strange, needy man with a huge ego and insecurity problems, but I'm sure that has nothing to do with it...

Some people get along better than others...
