Misty Needs A Home!

Dear Mr. Pryor,
First and foremost, I want to thank you for taking an interest in finding the person who brutally killed the golden retriever in Massachusetts. It is through generosity like yours that this person will be caught and punished. As an animal person I applaud you!

I would like to tell you about a dog named Misty Crockett. Misty belonged to my son but up until a week ago she had been living with me, my husband and our 3 dogs. You see, about 4 years ago, my only son hurt his shoulder and had to have surgery. He was given a prescription for Oxycontin. Soon his shoulder was healed but his addiction had only just begun and since he couldn't get the Oxycontin anymore he turned to heron. Today, he has lost everything including his home and job - he is a full blown heron addict. That is why Misty was living with us. I thought that he would try and get well because he loved that dog but I have learned that heron addicts only love one thing. It finally got to be too much for us - having 4 dogs - so I had to relinquish Misty to a rescue group. It was absolutely the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I know that you must get thousands of requests for help but I had to write and ask if there is anything you could do to help Misty find a forever home. There is nothing I or anyone else can do to help my son - it's like he has died - but Misty didn't ask to be in this position. I thought that maybe you would know someone who was looking to adopt a good dog. Listed below is the web site for All Dog Rescue where you can see pictures of Misty.
