Last Day of Shooting on Pryor Offenses!

Post by Jennifer »

Went great!I met Quintin Tarantino at the hotel in Vancouver and then we were on the same plane back to LA(last Thursday) and where we talked all about Richard. He told me he had a long talk with some journalist in the past about how no one talks to him(QT) about RIchard's influence on him...so I asked him to some by the set yesterday-our last day of shooting in LA and tell Insider that, which he did! I brought Richard to the set and we did an interview with Insider. He interacted beautifully with Richard. Sometimes people are afraid of wheelchairs and MS but not him--- He was way kool with Richard. Tommy Chong came by, Bob Saget did a cameo and Monique did a hilarious bit...and to top it off I asked George Lopez to do a cameo and he was funny as hell! It was a terrific day and I will let you all know when it will air...

I think its great what you're doing with this biopic thing Jennifer.

I grew up in the South (Alabama and Mississippi) and was blessed with two parents who didn't follow along with the "southern hospitality" stereotype against black people. I was pretty much raised listening to Richard Pryor...I grew up with Richard Pryor. I am still a fan to this day.

My parents were both huge fans of everything Richard Pryor done (stand-up as well as films).

One of my favorite directors happens to be Quentin Tarantino...and when I seen your post about my favorite comic meeting my favorite director, I just had to reply.

I also am a big fan of Tommy Chong as well as Cheech Marin. Back in Cheech and Chongs heyday, it would have been great to see those two in a movie with Richard Pryor. I think it would have been a great comedy.

I wasn't even aware that a movie about Richard Pryor was in the works until I visited this site. Jo Jo Dancer was a great movie but I think it focused too much on Rich's accident. Although it was something that happened in his life, it was not the MAIN THING in his life.

I have not read the book Pryor Convictions but hopefully the biggest focus of the film will not be on Rich setting himself on fire.

The man has done alot more than that in his life and I hope the film focuses more on his accomplishments than his defeats.

Sincerely,
SneakyPreacher

P.S: Great Job on the site Jen...much love to you and Rich!

Jermane S,

Thanks Quentin for telling the truth! That's all we want is truth! Truth is RP influenced far more people than anyone realizes. I saw an interview with Lopez once and he mentioned how much Pryor affected him. I don't know why, but it really made me feel good.

Jennifer,

You were dropping so many names I almost expected: "And the Jesus came by and told us that we had nothing to worry about come November 2nd. He said he talked to his Dad, and he said he never called George!"

I went to Zimbabwe. I know how white people feel in America now; relaxed! Cause when I heard the police car I knew they weren't coming after me!
