Anyone else see that story? I was kinda disappointed when all it was was Vicodin and wine. C'mon! Get some real, 60s rock star drugs, THEN announce that you're going into rehab.

There's a Half Baked quote from Bob Sagat very much needed here...

Well, I guess it's cool that he can admit that he needs help...

The only thing he's needs to admit himself is for suffering from pussification! ...if I may use his own jokes against him...

If you've ever been on Vicodin you know that popping those pills on a regular basis binds you up like a m.f! Gives you a nasty urinary track infection too!

Let's see... It burns when I [/i]don't[/i] pee... and I haven't dropped the kids at the pool in a couple of weeks. It can't be the two Vicodin 750's I'm washing down with a little Merlot every two hours, can it? OK. I might have a problem...

I've been there with the Vicodin. The only thing that had me more was Mr. Morphine...

Aw COME ON!!!! Vicodin and wine???? By his own admission, Carlin has done much harder drugs than that and now he's addicted to vicodin and wine? What next, twinkies and Mr. Pibb? Carlin is evolving into a Mormon. Just doesn't sound legit to me. Maybe it's a publicity stunt for that one man show he's been working on for broadway.

Man how the wolves came out on this one. I read the story and he had a very good explanation. He said that he knows it's pretty week and that he isn't in too bad of shape but he knows that it's the start of a potentially growing problem with him. He said he wanted to kick it before it got to a much larger problem. The man has had his heart troubles and detox is nothing to fuck with and probably wants to do it in a controlled environment. So SHAME, SHAME on you guys for jumping the shark on this. Eh fuck it, PUSSY.... Rehab is for quitters.

I agree with your assessment. For the record, few people like Carlin more than I do. But I can't help but feel there's more to the story than that. I keep expecting the comedic turn to pop up...
