Hey, Jennifer!:)
Reggie C. here. This is my first post.
Favorite stand-up performance: Without question, the film "Live In Concert"--hands down the most flawless, awe-inspiring, brilliant, hilarious extended stand-up performance I've ever witnessed, bar none. If you want to show one thing to prove that Richard was the greatest stand-up comic ever, here's exhibit A. I love the other concert films as well, but this one is PERFECT.
Favorite non-stand-up film(s): Even though "Silver Streak" is not a great movie, Richard's performance is GREAT in it. "Which Way Is Up?" also had some unforgettable moments. And he rose to the occasion in dramatic roles for "Blue Collar" and "Lady Sings The Blues." And let's not forget that he co-wrote one of my all-time fave flicks, "Blazing Saddles."
Favorite album(s): "Wanted/Live In Concert" (same bits as the film "Live In Concert," but different performances) is my favorite comedy album of all time. I'll also always have a soft spot for "That Nigger's Crazy," because that's the album that made me a fan when I was 12 (back in '74). But the very best of most of his other albums also rank with his best stuff.
Favorite TV appearances: His 1975 stint on "SNL"; the "Juke & Opal" and "Wino & Proper Lady" skits from the '73 Lily Tomlin specials; his stint as co-host of the "Mike Douglas Show" from '74; and, of course, his '77 TV special and subsequent NBC series.
What is your favorite Richard Pryor Performance (Movie,Standup whatever)

gotta be Greased Lightning, but I'm biased.. I spent several days at Wendell's house and heard an awful lot of stories, most of which never made it into the movie....
