I TRY TO CALM THE WILD ONES’ FEARS
THE DARK AND QUIET END DOES NEAR
THROUGH A VEIL OF SADDENED TEARS
AT BLANK AND TINY EYES I PEER
THEY STARVE AND SUFFER INSECT STINGS
AND ALL THAT BEING ORPHANED BRINGS
WHILE MOTHER LIES WITH BONES EXPOSED

THOSE WORDS CAME AS SAID AND FROM THE HEART AS I WATCHED A TINY BABY RACCOON WHO HAD BEEN ORPHANED WHEN THE LAND WAS CLEAR CUT AND ITS MOTHER WAS HIT BY A CAR. BY THE TIME I RECEIVED HIM, HIS LITTLE LIFE WAS SLIPPING THROUGH MY FINGERS. I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR TWELVE YEARS NOW AND THOUGH MY HEART IS HEAVY, I JUST KEEP ON TRYING ONE MORE DAY AT A TIME. IF THERE IS ANY WAY WE CAN GET THIS MESSAGE OUT TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE MEANS TO HELP US ESTABLISH A REHABILITATION CENTER AND BUY SOME LAND, WE CAN PUT A STOP TO A LOT OF THIS. I HAVE TRIED TO REACH JOHN TRAVOLTA WHO OWNS LAND IN FLORIDA, BUT HE HAS NOT ANSWERED. YOU AND RICHARD ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO TAKE THE TIME. WE ARE ON THE SAME PAGE. HEAVENLY SURROUNDINGS
I’ve had a blissful dream of You
And the home that we shared
See, everything I enjoy to do
Was there and everywhere
Our land was vibrant and alive
Kind wildlife surrounded me
Even the kings could not deprive
Us of the Heavenly scene
Butterflies lived among us
As if there were siblings of ours
And in everyone, we could trust
That our lives would be devoured
My beloved Poppy was there, too
He and I played in the tulip gardens
On my feet, I found no shoes
No worries on my mind; what a bargain
The sun was a beautiful orange
Trees, the most gorgeous green
There are no reasons to disparage
And definitely no reason to be mean
We slept on the clouds in the sky
And danced on the rooftop of a storm
I’m telling you no lies
Because only You, I adore
Luscious fruit grew for miles on in
So, we delighted ourselves a time or two
Too many to name; where would I begin
Berries, apples and peaches to name a few
Mountains higher than Heaven above
Seas deeper than the grounds below
Heart inspired and filled with love
Time is endless so our spirits can grow
Then I was awakened by a gentle touch
How strange, it is You that is here with me
It’s seems the dream I’ve enjoyed so much
Is now my everlasting reality.
