Hello Richard from another Richard

Rich man, (I know you don't mind being called Rich, but I don't care for it worth a damn. lol) me and my boys back in the 70's used to buy all of your albums, and memorize everything on them. Whenever you were on TV,we would watch and then talk about it the whole next day. And, we were grown ass men, not kids. We loved some Richard Pryor, because you made it so real. Your depiction of the wino watching out for his neighborhood gave out two different messages at once: (1) Listen to your elders, you can gain a wealth of understanding from them. (2) Even a wino can have a sense of pride for his neighborhood; "Hey Niggah, slow that thing down, this aint' no residential district". I laughed my ass off at all of your work, and saw that while making us laugh, you were teaching us a lesson also. You taught us all, black, white, and everyone else who was willing to listen, that we shouldn't take ourselves too seriously. The serious thing set before us by God, is to make peace among one another. Rich, when I first heard of your illness, I was devastated. I couldn't believe that a man who has had so much pain in his life would be subjected to even more pain and suffering. After I accepted God in my life, I found that sometimes we have to endure trials and burdens that He allows to be placed in our paths, in order to get our attention. I certainly hope that you have found peace with your Lord and Savior. But, on a lighter note Richard, you are just gonna have to get back to work and show those "wannabes" who the master truly is, and that you are still around. The reason you have to do this Richard, is that, if you don't, you might wind up with "Little Tiny Feet". LMAO, I hope that gets a rise out of you man.
