Has anyone seen this documentary.I am watching it right now they just had a segent on Richard and his impact with Paul Mooney and Mo'nique chiming in.
My question is does anyone who may have seen this doc no where I can see some the clips that they use for Richard?
The one that is really noteworthy has him in the hood with a basketball talking and just doing his thang!!From what they showed it was funny as hell!!!!
Help me anybody if you can......
I went to Zimbabwe. I know how white people feel in America now; relaxed! Cause when I heard the police car I knew they weren't coming after me!
astonamous,
Well the way it looked it was filmed not tape (althought they made such shows as Maude and Good Times look like they were filmed instead of taped also) But Richard was also outside and he was throwing a basketball up against a wall and he was enacting what a fight was like:
".....push me....(acts like he is being pushed by somebody)....okay I dare you to push me again!!!!"

bingolong,
The TMIC clip you are describing was used in an obscure film called "Dynamite Chicken," which is basically a trippy, stream-of-consciousness hodgepodge of film clips that was (I believe) put together in about 1969, but not released until 1971 or 1972. During the early '80s, when Richard was in his "Stir Crazy"-era peak of popularity, it was re-released for a limited run at art house/independent flick-type movie theatres. Brief Pryor clips (all shot in the same shoot that you saw) run all through the flick, but he's probably in it for a total of about 10 minutes.
"Dynamite Chicken" was available on VHS for a while, but it's now out-of-print. You can probably find a used copy on amazon.com or eBay. Let me warn you, however, that with the exception of Richard, the film is not very good. But that's just my opinion.
http://wgntv.trb.com/wgntv-news-blackhi ... ntv-home-3 - The first time I saw it was this year during Black History Month but I didn't remember Richard's part (It might have been edited out because the version I saw was on pay cable and had Richard using a few explectives...)'

Yeah, I've got Dynamite chicken.......it's a REALLY weird film,it kinda reminds me of "Kentucky Fried Movie" where it's more a collection of sketches than an actual film. Richard does a few skits in it similar to on the "Wattstax" album, he is the highlight of what would be an otherwise forgettable film.
I think that it may have been re-released though, 'cos I'm sure that I've seen it available on DVD.
