well, so much for a wal-mart boycott

Politics, religion, racism, sex, the weather... there's always lots to think about so there's always lots to talk about. Progressive ideas are encouraged but all opinions are welcome.

well, so much for a wal-mart boycott

Post by tamra »

there are now commercials w/Destiny's Child and their immediate family members advertising Wal-Mart. I would have thought there would be more responsibility on their part given there isn't a need for more money, but I guess not. perhaps all money made from the ads will go directly to Katrina victims, one can hope.

I personally don't shop at Wal-Mart, mainly because they represent corporate greed and deceit, racism, sexism, failure to be more responsible to U.S. citizens and local small businesses by outsourcing to other countries for manufacturing and in some cases illegal, undocumented employees, and now for their attempt to lead the way in cutting health benefits for employees. basically everything that does harm to americans in general.

if health benefits are cut, employees will be forced to find their own health care. and at piss poor wages w/many w/families to take care of imagine what will happen.

and of course their support for the REDs which now seem to be focused on Iraq and other countries' well-being.
