walk the line

Richard loved going to the movies...
So do we. Who doesn't like music?

Murphdogg,
Ebert said he did an even better job at this one than Jamie Foxx last year...I want to see it but I would feel guilty if I give my hard earned money to a country star before I gave it to a rap star...like 50 cents!!

But I defintely want to see it!!!
I went to Zimbabwe. I know how white people feel in America now; relaxed! Cause when I heard the police car I knew they weren't coming after me!

bingolong,

PREACH ON BROTHA! PREACH ON!

Now I have left several of these "preach on" comments today. I am in preacher mode.

But Bingo - all I would give 5o cent is 25 cents!
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH

tis2flyyy, are you kidding me? Johnny Cash invented the outlaw music style, I don't know if I even consider him country...he was so hardcore he was using lyrics like this "I killed a man in Reno..just to watch him die" back in the 50's...what the hell is harder then killing a sucka just to watch him die?

Murphdogg,
yeah thats a good line......Cash is certainly one of the voices of the century....one of the greats.......troubador...minstrel......country singer....poet....pop singer.....outlaw.....you can say his name with people like Zeppelin...The Doors...Skynerd...The Stones....Dylan....Lennon......even though he was in a different musical genre ya cant put him down....for he was a poet as much as he was a singer B-)

Murphdogg,

I am going to keep it real. I have Mad respect for Johnny and Mrs Cash. I truly do and commend them for their contributions to music.

However, I should not have even posted in this thread as I am a HARD CORE WEST COAST RAP MUSIC FAN. THAT, my dear, is all that I listen to.

My associate (male, of course) asked me once did I know who Lil' Milton was (old azz blues singer).....and he kept on asking me like he just could not believe that I did not know. After the 6th time of him saying "You mean to tell me, you don't know who Lil' Milton is?" _ I said: Look bitch, does he RAP? If the fool is a rapper, then yea, I know who his ass is!!!!!

But you know I got love for a legend and I know Johny Cash was just that.

Peace Out & One Love
Big T

tis2flyyy,

T CHECK THIS SHIT OUT!!

Artist: Johnny Cash Lyrics
Song: Cocaine Blues Lyrics

Early one mornin' while makin' the rounds
I took a shot of cocaine and I shot my woman down
I went right home and I went to bed I stuck that lovin' 44 beneath my head

Got up next mornin' and I grabbed that gun took a shot of cocaine and away I run
Made a good run but I run too slow they overtook me down in Juarez Mexico

Late in the hot joints takin' the pills in walked the sheriff from Jericho Hill
He said Willy Lee your name is not Jack Brown
You're the dirty hack that shot your woman down
Said yes oh yes my name is Willy Lee if you've got the warrant just aread it to me
Shot her down because she made me slow
I thought I was her daddy but she had five more

When I was arrested I was dressed in black
They put me on a train and they took me back
Had no friend for to go my bail they slapped my dried up carcass in that country jail

Early next mornin' bout a half past nine I spied the sheriff coming down the line
Talked and he coughed as he cleared his throat
He said come on you dirty heck into that district court
Into the courtroom my trial began where I was handled by twelve honest men
Just before the jury started out I saw the little judge commence to look about

In about five minutes in walked the man holding the verdict in his right hand
The verdict read in the first degree I hollered Lordy Lordy have a mercy on me

The judge he smiled as he picked up his pin 99 years in the Folsom pen
99 years underneath that ground I can't forget the day I shot that bad bitch down
Come on you've gotta listen unto me lay off that whiskey and let that cocaine be

now thats gangster!!!

If it wasent for June Carter we would have lost Johnny long before his time.
